About Us

The Mission of the Lapeer County Genealogical Society is to:
  • Promote genealogy and family history research
  • Help others learn about genealogy and how to apply that knowledge to uncover their personal family history
  • Collect, preserve and disseminate genealogical, biographical, and historical knowledge and information
  • Encourage the affiliation of people interested in the pursuit of their ancestral heritage
  • Host and participate in meetings, seminars, and events to raise public interest in genealogy and in the Lapeer County Genealogical Society (LCGS)

2024 Dates/Hours:  Startiing April 6, 2024 -  Dec. 2024, Saturday's only from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Society is located in the Lapeer County Historical Museum
located at 518 W. Nepessing Street, Lapeer, MI 48446
 
General Membership Meetings
The Lapeer County Genealogical Society holds general membership meetings typically the second Tuesday of April, May, September, October and November.  The time and location will be communicated prior to each meeting.
